| File Formats |
| Microsoft Word 2000 or later for Windows/Mac is recommended.
A set consisting of a text file and EPS graphics is acceptable. Using these materials,
the editorial stuff will create a PDF file according to the ACT layout style and
directly apply to a CTP (Computer-to-Plate) process. |

| Title, Authors, Affiliations and Abstract |
| Paper title in Arial 14 pt bold. Name of each author in Times New Roman 12 pt with
a superscript number corresponding to the note for that author. Each author's note
shall include the job title, section, division, organization, country and e-mai address
of the corresponding author. |

| Text |
| Times New Roman 10 pt for the main body and Arial 11 pt bold
and 10 pt bold for headings and sub-headings, respectively. Symbol fonts for Greek
letters and mathematical symbols. Citations shall follow
the MLA style, without
any reference numbers in the text and the list. Figure
and tables captions should be placed at appropriate locations in the text as text
boxes in Arial 9 pt. The text shall be in the
double-column format, with each column 80 mm wide, a space of 10 mm between the columns,
left and right margins of 20 mm, and top and bottom margins of 25 mm (paper size:
A4). |

| Equations |
| Use of an quation editor working with Word is preferable. Equations
in TeX, if any, should be supplied in the EPS format with a file name corresponding
to the respective equation numbers. All equations should be arranged within the width
of a column of 80 mm, including equation numbers. MathType, the superset of the Equation
editor of MS Word, users should pay attentions to the dividing line thickness for
fractions. The thickness should be set to 0.5 pt and not 0.5%. |

| Photographs |
| Photographs should be 8-bit grayscale in a Word compatible
format with a resolution of 350 dpi: 5 times greater magnification when scanning
original photographs. Check diagonal lines are smooth when zoomed 500 percent as
pasted in a Word file. Number the photos ( Fig.2 or Fig. 8 (a) for example). Low resolution image files are unacceptable. |

| Drawings |
| Width less than 75 mm (if fits within the width of one
column) or less than 160 mm (if spans two columns), including the vertical axis label. Line
width greater than 0.08 mm (0.25 pt) and less than 0.35
mm (1 pt). Texts in Times New Roman or Arial 8 pt. Gradation fill is not acceptable.Scanned
drawings are acceptable only when the resolution is greater than 1200 dpi. Check
diagonal lines are smooth when zoomed 500 percent as pasted in a Word file. Do not
use the default line width of MS Excel that may be set to 0.03 pt. |

| Tables |
| Tab-delimited standard Word tables in Times New Roman. Width
less than 75 mm (if fits within the width of one column)
or less than 160 mm (if spans two columns). Figure and
tables captions should be placed at appropriate locations in the text as text boxes
The body text and equations should be in double-column
format, while figures and tables can be attached at the end of the text. |

| Submission Methods |
| A file can be submitted as an e-mail attachment if the file
size is less than 2 MB. Large files can be uploaded to our FTP server. In
this case, ask for FTP instructions. Submission as an
ISO 9660 format CD-R disk is also acceptable. |
